Join Dr Raysa El Zein for an insightful webinar exploring the potential benefits of dietary ketosis in preventing age-related memory loss. As we age, cognitive decline becomes a growing concern, and emerging research suggests that dietary ketosis—achieved through a high-fat, low-carbohydrate diet—may play a key role in supporting brain health. This session will delve into how ketosis helps optimize brain function by providing an alternative fuel source (ketones) for brain cells, improving memory, and reducing the risk of neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s. Experts will discuss the science behind ketosis, its impact on brain metabolism, and practical strategies for incorporating a ketogenic diet to support long-term cognitive health.

Following her BSc in Nutrition & dietetics, Raysa completed a masters degree in Public Health Nutrition then a PhD in Nutrition
and Dementia prevention. She is currently a lecturer of public health nutrition within the School of Life Sciences at the
University of Westminster. She is interested in the relation between nutrition and the ageing brain with special focus on food interventions and dementia prevention. My research focuses on the use of coconut oil on memory in older adults and adults with mild Cognitive
impairment to reduce dementia risk. She believe in the power of food in health and wellbeing

Key Learning Outcomes Are:

  • Dementia Rates (scale of the problem)
  • Alzheimer’s Disease (AD)
  • AD as a metabolic Disease
  • Glucosehypometabolism and role of ketones
  • Dietary ketosis for brain Rescue
